- Andersen, Hans Christian
Hans Christian Andersen, famous above all for his tales, is a very eclectic Danish writer. Novelist, poet, short story writer, storyteller or playwright, it is with his tales that he contributed at the time (in 1835) to the birth of a new literary genre. Unlike Grimm or Perrault who transcribed popular tales, Andersen created original stories. Naturally, he drew a lot of inspiration from the stories he heard in his childhood but also from his life as a poor child or that of those around him. He nourished his lively and concise style thanks to his observation of everyday life that he embellished with magical or fantastical elements. He thus published 156 tales, and if his first collections were entitled Children's Tales, the following ones would no longer bear this title because he denied having written them only for children. Born in 1805 in Odense, Denmark, into a very poor family, he died in Copenhagen in 1875, after having known fame throughout the world and the honors of his country. "My life is a beautiful fairy tale, rich and happy" Andersen would say to sum up his life!

- Bassez, Arnaud
Anesthetist nurse in an operating room at AP-HP, I created a professional website known by the acronym SOFIA (French Society of Anesthetist Nurses). I am a trainer in emergency procedures and care and I provide training to students and healthcare professionals. Alongside my professional activities, I created a blog in which I broadcast a project designed in collaboration with Stéphane Censi: a series of fantastic-detective stories in 18th century Venice. I also intend to adapt a science fiction story into a comic strip. And there are still other stories written for my daughter Ophélie to discover.

- Bétend, Eric
At 5 years old, Eric Bétend wanted to be a firefighter. After tasting a firefighter's apron in a Lyon bouchon, he changed his mind. Then he thought about becoming a priest, but on Christmas when he was 14, he had a crisis of faith. At 16, he dreamed of becoming an artist but he quickly understood that it was better to kiss girls. Today, he is a teacher of French as a foreign language. Despite his tenderness for his students, he does not disdain to give them a few spankings on occasion: it does not bother them since French is pro-spanked.

- Borrini, Philippe
Actor, playwright, storyteller, director, writer, Philippe Borrini never ceases to freely question the words of poets and the words of the holy scriptures. With his book Thérèse de Lisieux l'invention d'une ecstasy, he showed how writing is above all a path to the construction of Being. He built the Théâtre de Flagy in Burgundy and co-invented "Le plus petit festival du monde" which he directed for ten years, then founded his company, "Théâtre 5". He has played or directed many theater shows. His real and imaginary territory is the Clunisois. There he created an event show "les Oriflammes de Pierre le Vénérable" a show built around the historical figures of Abelard, Héloïse and Pierre le Vénérable. His actor solos accompanied by live music are a mark of his work as an actor-author.

- Bouju, Martine
As far back as I can remember, and many of my memories belong to a distant and exciting past, I have loved writing; capturing life's events in short texts, tinging them with emotion and humor, adding the "la" of authenticity whenever possible. I was a journalist for years, and the Petites chroniques à mots couvert bear witness to this. I recounted my encounters with adolescents with troubled backgrounds and diverted intelligence in Vous avez dit Pauvres d'Esprit. I invented for my grandchildren a Petit Michel, now intimate with the whole family and so many other children at school. I loved my cars, companions of so many adventures, and it was simply polite to make them the setting for these events: these are the Autorécits. There you have it, I loved words and they were willing to take me as a friend. Martine Bouju

When I was little, adults scared me so much that I thought I would never reach this respectable state. So, I clung to childhood by focusing on activities around children: first by working in the hospital in the pediatric ward, then by becoming a kindergarten teacher and finally a mother. I told so many stories to all these children around me that I immersed myself in them completely to the point of inventing new ones. I have devoted myself entirely to children's literature for two years.

- Ceccarelli, Jean-Jacques
Jean-Jacques Ceccarelli weaves in his works a teeming presence of reality with the freedom of vision and creation, even the cheekiness, of those who have made their university in the street. An innate sense of composition, a warm lyricism dominate his works where are inscribed in inspired canvases a relationship to duration, to memory, and a manifest tenderness for ordinary life seen through the prism of poetry. Underneath, remains a constant reflection on the moral value of any event. This is sometimes expressed with a sovereign gravity and confronts in all humility the image of death, a subject of meditation reserved for artists of high lineage. He lives and works in Marseille.

- Censi, Stephane
Passionate about drawing since childhood, and more specifically about comics, I quickly started drawing my favorite heroes. Completely self-taught, I began working on several projects, each very different from the other, in parallel with my job as a teacher. I am currently an associate professor of Italian in middle and high schools. I also teach at the University of Strasbourg, as well as at the Institute of Political Studies. My meeting with the scriptwriter Arnaud Bassez bore fruit in the form of various collaborations; a story in three boards in particular, Secrète Venise, allowed me to participate in the young talent comics competition at the Angoulême Festival 2006. This short story constitutes the pilot episode of a project for a series in several volumes.

A graduate in communication, I recently discovered a passion for children's literature. In addition to the hundred titles in my library that already delight my two boys, I now have stories that I invent for them. I write for children because with them, we can talk about serious subjects, without necessarily taking ourselves seriously. Sensitive themes are indeed among my favorite subjects, alongside stories with a more humorous tone.

He crossed paths with Aragon, Neruda, Guillevic thanks to his philosophy teacher, Jean Marcenac, then other writers like Georges Perros and Charles Le Quintrec. It was Xavier Grall who allowed him to publish his first book L'ordre du jour with Kelenn editions. A long silence carried by his activity as a researcher in signal and image processing marked by numerous prizes for his scientific work. Then Yves Landrein opened the doors of his publishing house La Part Commune to him. Then followed and often in duo with his painter friend Mariano Otero, L'intérieur des terres, Une question de temps, Tango-Monde, La vie à chercher. In absentia continues a dialogue begun in A les écouter parler with Xavier Grall, Guillevic, Louis Guilloux, Georges Perros, Armand Robin, Victor Segalen.

I became a children's illustrator late in life, after a brief career as a freelance graphic designer. This experience is reflected in my illustrations, which have a very graphic style. I like to mix different techniques and play with colors and textures to reinforce the visual impact of my work. I try to create images that transport us to another reality. Being able to escape into the imagination for the duration of a book is simply magical, and I hope, through my illustrations, to invite children to undertake this journey...

I like colorful universes, fabulous and exotic characters, distant customs. I like to draw the dancing hair and the veils of women who know how to express the delicacy of feelings. Images often say a lot: they tell stories of course, but they also give us access to a more subtle world, made of serenity, grace, love. I am self-taught, and my passion for drawing is very mysterious, even to my own eyes. No matter, I I am following her for a thousand and one reasons.

As a child, I observed nature, animals and adults. I drew and read under an old apple tree. I sat among the cats to share their silence. I imagined extraordinary stories while walking in the forest. I loved my childhood even if I sometimes dreamed of being a grown-up. Today I have become a grown-up who has not forgotten her childhood dreams. I still love drawing, reading and imagining extraordinary stories. That's why I studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon, I completed my training in computer graphics as well as graphic arts at the Emile Cohl school to bring these stories to life. Now, with all this training and my dreams, I draw for today's children... and also a little for myself.

After a master's degree at the IUP in management at Paris X, then a brief career in human resources, I decided to devote myself fully to my passion for illustration. I have always been doodling: I especially love drawing animals. So I first started to set myself up as an animal portraitist, because I myself have three dogs who inspire me every day, but as I also like to tell stories through my images, it was quite natural that I turned to children's illustration. I hope to make young and old people dream through my illustrations.
