Academic work

Under the direction of Sylvain Trousselard and Sandrine Coin-Longeray

In light of the studies composing this work, the infinite variety of the intentions of the quotation appears: beyond the traditional categories of exempla , auctoritas and ornamentatio , the quotation also serves to surprise, to conceal as well as to reveal, to protect and above all to summon in a brief form a different thought, a whole other conceptual or fictional universe with all its complexity and connotations. The different ways of inserting the quotations within the work demonstrate a freedom that paradoxically ends up making the quotation one of the means of poetic, political or philosophical creativity.
